Twentieth Annual Lip Sinc Held!
November 04, 2024
The Cherokee Speech team held their annual lip sync competition on Friday, November 1.
The event was well attended and everyone agreed it was a great time. 100 CWHS students were involved in 10 different Lip Syncs. The songs were wide in variety and full of humor. The purpose of the lip sync is to raise money for food banks in Cherokee. This year the lip sync raised $5,025 for the Trinity Lutheran Food Pantry, Catholic Action Pantry, and Mid Sioux. Mr. and Mrs. De Vos would like to sincerely thank all of the local businesses that sponsored the lip sync with monetary donations or prizes. This year's lip sync marked the 20th anniversary of the first lip sync at CWHS.
Thank you to the DeVos duo for making this possible and putting in long hours of work to make this an annual event. *photo credit Mrs. Alquist and Publications students.
