New Teacher at Cherokee Middle School

Jenny Hauser

January 13, 2020

A big Brave's welcome to Mrs. Hauser, a new staff member at Cherokee Middle School!

From Mrs. Hauser:

My name is Jenny Hauser and I am looking forward to working with the students at Cherokee Community Middle School as a special education teacher. My husband Jamie and I have lived in Le Mars for 20 years and we are blessed with three children.

Jamie is a Deputy Assessor and Appraiser for Plymouth County and is extremely active in BSA scouting. Our oldest daughter Elizabeth lives in Corning, IA. Her fiancé, Josh, is a middle school math and science teacher and baseball coach for Southwest Valley. Lucas is a senior at Le Mars Community and is enjoying his senior year. This summer he will be leaving for basic training through the Iowa Army National Guard. Aaron is a junior and enjoys everything with music and theatre. Both of our boys are Eagle Scouts and active in football, band, choir, show choir, speech, and track.

I have worked at Le Mars Community High School for 10 years as a special education teacher’s associate. In 2013 I decided to continue my education to become a teacher. I graduated from Western Iowa Tech Community College in 2017 with my Associate of Applied Arts degree. I continued for my bachelor’s degree through Buena Vista University. I graduated this December with my elementary education degree along with my special education and reading endorsements. I am looking forward to meeting all the staff, students, and parents at Cherokee Community. Go Braves!!!
